Frequently asked questions
Photo
-
Absolutely! Over the past several years, I’ve fallen in love with film photography as it allows me to slow down just a bit more and document intentional moments. Film photography is available as an add-on to every wedding, experience or session, as desired. Please indicate in the inquiry form above if this is something you’d like to consider.
-
You’ll receive a link to your online gallery of high-resolution images within 8-12 weeks of your wedding date. I know how the anticipation can build as you wait to see imagery from our time together so, I aim to share previews within the first week to give you a glimpse at what’s been documented (although not always guaranteed).
For couple sessions, you’ll receive your gallery within 2 to 4 weeks of our time together.
-
Since each wedding and couple session varies slightly, my philosophy is to share all the momentous photos with you rather than a predetermined number. The number of images may vary depending on how much time I spend with you and how our timeline plays out throughout the day. I’ll provide you with all of the images that aren’t duplicates, blurry, or shots of you in-between facial expressions, eating, etc. For most couples, the most difficult part is choosing which images to print from all the incredible shots they receive.
-
You’re welcome to share your photos wherever you like. I kindly ask when posting, you tag or credit me in the caption, and refrain from editing or enhancing the photos in any way.
-
If you’re interested in seeing a full wedding gallery, please email me at emily@emilymagers.com and I’d be happy to send some galleries your way.
Wedding
-
Absolutely. I will always be available to assist you in any area, whether it’s in regards to your imagery, timelines, clothing, lighting, or vendors—I’ll be with you every step of the way. You’ll also receive helpful resources and a comprehensive guide on how best to prepare for our time together so when the day comes, you’ll feel more than ready and most importantly, at ease.
-
Yes. If your venue requires proof of insurance, please let me know and I can provide them with the necessary information.
-
Of course. I never shoot without a backup of everything.
-
When you have a second shooter at your wedding, your photographer can cover more ground, get shots from multiple angles and manage time efficiently (since they can essentially be in two places at once). A second shooter also serves as a backup in case of an emergency. Unless you’re having a very small wedding or elopement, I strongly recommend having a second shooter there to make sure you get the most out of our photos. My second shooters are hand-selected from a small pool of documentary-style photographers I’ve worked with for years and wholeheartedly trust.
-
I do not offer videography with my services however, I work with a wide variety of talented videographers who align with my style. If you’d like assistance in finding a videographer, let me know in the form above and I’d be happy to help.
Miscelaneous
-
Absolutely. Travel is a big part of my work, and nowhere is too far a distance to go. Please make a note of your destination (if you have it picked out at this point) in the inquiry form above and I can provide you with a custom quote as it varies depending on the location. To see where I’m headed to next and if it aligns with your vision, you can view my upcoming travel itinerary above.
-
Once we start planning your session, I’ll send you a style guide that will help you feel prepared knowing which outfit choices work best in photos. Ultimately, I recommend wearing whatever makes you feel most comfortable, confident, and completely yourself with your partner while also making sense to the scenery we choose to shoot in.
